Rotary Club of Waipapa
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends leaders and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting changes in communities at home and abroad.
Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary members have used their passion, energy and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world and stay committed to the end.
Our Motto: Service Above Self
For more than 110 years our guiding principles have been the foundation of our values:
service
Fellowship
diversity
integrity
leadership
What We Do
Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world's most persistent issues. Our 35,000+ clubs work together to:
promote peace
fight disease
provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene
save mothers and children
support education
grow local economies
Get Involved
There are five Rotary clubs in Northland (Bay of Islands ar Paihia, Kerikeri, Kaikohe, Kaitaia and Waipapa)
The Waipapa Rotary is proud to be one of the clubs involved in the BaySport Complex
We meet every Wednesday at 6.30 for 7.00pm during the winter daylight saving hours and 7.00 for 7.30pm during the summer months. Our meetings are held in the BaySport Pavilion where we enjoy a social meal and regularly have interesting speakers and other events. Projects are undertaken to raise funds used for numerous local, national and internationally sponsored people, groups and events.
An important aspect of Rotary is the fellowship of its members. Waipapa Rotary is well-known in the New Zealand Rotary world as being a club of relaxed fun, humor, social events and great friendships. Rotary is non-political, non-racist, non-religious, non-sexist. So if you have an open personality and looking to "put back in" to your community then please come along and join us.
